Brazilian Air Force receives seventh C-390 Millennium from Embraer

Embraer delivered today to the First Squadron of the First Transport Group (1st/1st GT), at Galeão Air Base, in Rio de Janeiro, its seventh C-390 Millennium. This delivery marks five years of the first C-390 in the Brazilian Air Force, which has carried out multiple military and humanitarian missions internationally.

Since entering service with the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, the C-390 Millennium has demonstrated its capability, reliability and performance. It has been used to transport supplies during the COVID crisis, participate in international missions, perform aerial refueling, repatriate Brazilian citizens and fight fires, thus demonstrating its versatility.

With a capacity of 26 tons, a speed of 470 knots and advanced avionics, the C-390 is one of the highlights in its category. Its powerful engines, large cargo compartment with rear ramp and resistant landing gear allow operations on unpaved runways. The C-390 Millennium It is a strategic asset, prepared to perform a wide range of military and civilian missions, including transportation of cargo, personnel and vehicles, peacekeeping operations, humanitarian , medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, aerial refueling and disaster management.

With the fleet of aircraft currently in operation accumulating more than 14.000 flight hours, the C-390 has been selected by several countries, such as Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and South Korea, thanks to its performance.
