CAE predicts the need for up to 8.000 business aviation pilots in less than 10 years

Based on CAE's 2023 Aviation Talent Forecast report, the company announced that more than 8.000 pilots and 10.000 maintenance technicians will be needed for European business aviation operations in less than 10 years.

CAE expects the global business aircraft fleet to grow by approximately 18% by 2032. As a result, CAE is building more business aircraft simulators and training facilities around the world to meet growing demand. 

"With up to 26.000 business jets in service and the need to recruit over 100.000 new business aviation professionals”, announced the CAE report. 

Recently, CAE announced a new dedicated training center in Vienna, Austria, which will house simulators for the Bombardier Global 6000 and 7500 and the Challenger 3500, as well as simulators for the Embraer Phenom 300. 

Another area of ​​expansion for CAE is remote schools. Although regulators have allowed face-to-face online teaching for recurrent pilot training. 

For maintenance technicians, CAE has expanded the use of virtual reality (VR) tools and is also testing the combination of VR and augmented reality.
