FAB's KC-30 will take Lula on a trip to Asia

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will use the Brazilian Air Force's KC-30 for his trip to Japan and Vietnam, which will begin next Saturday (22), in place of the presidential Airbus A319CJ.

The information was released on the Metrópoles website. The aircraft is an Airbus A330-200 acquired from Azul Linhas Aéreas during the previous government and received by the FAB in November 2022. Unlike the A319CJ, the KC-30 does not have Wi-Fi, but offers greater flight autonomy. As a result, the president is expected to make only one stop for refueling along the way.

This will not be the first time the president has used the FAB plane on international trips. In February 2023, it was used for an official trip to the United States.

Lula is expected to arrive in Japan next Monday (24). The main objective of the trip is to expand the Japanese market for Brazilian products, with an emphasis on the meat sector.
