LATAM Cargo, the cargo of the LATAM Group, announced at Intermodal South America 2025 that it will expand its operational capacity at Guarulhos Airport, its main hub, by 50%, adding more than 2,9 m² of space to its Cargo Terminal (TECA). This expansion aims to meet the expected growth in the company’s operations in the coming years, especially in response to the demand from the e-commerce sector, which has been growing in Brazil.
LATAM recently signed an agreement with Amazon Brazil, which promises to speed up the delivery of products purchased on the marketplace in eleven states in three Brazilian regions.
LATAM Cargo had a 32% share (measured in paid kilos transported) in the Brazilian domestic market in the first quarter of 2025, a growth of 4,6% when compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency). There were 34,7 thousand tons of cargo transported in the first three months of this year, against 33 thousand tons in 2024.
