LATAM Airlines Brasil has just announced new direct seasonal routes Fortaleza-Belo Horizonte/Confins and Fortaleza-Vitória, with flights starting on December 16th and January 1st, respectively, with operations scheduled until the beginning of February next year. The sections incorporated into the company's air network during the high season at the beginning of the year are part of a movement to reinforce operations in the capital of Ceará during the period, taking advantage of the high summer demand. In addition to the new routes, LATAM will increase the frequency of 5 regular routes, adding a total of 56 extra weekly flights in Fortaleza. Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks on latam.com and other official channels.
The Fortaleza-Belo Horizonte/Confins route will have 1 daily operation. Flights last around 3 hours. The Fortaleza-Vitória route will also have 1 daily operation. Flights last 1h45. Both will be operated with A320 family aircraft, with capacity for up to 174 engers.
The regular routes from Fortaleza to Belém, Manaus, Recife, Salvador, São Paulo/Congonhas will receive extra weekly flights, increasing the number of tourists from all over Brazil to Ceará in January 2025. LATAM expects to transport 92 thousand more engers on the operation in Fortaleza during the period.
In addition to the new high season routes to Fortaleza, LATAM will also increase the number of flights on existing routes to other tourist destinations in Ceará. This is the case of Juazeiro do Norte-São Paulo/Guarulhos, which will increase from 7 to 10 weekly flights from August. The company will also increase the Jericoacoara-São Paulo/Guarulhos route, increasing from 7 to 10 flights per week from November onwards.
