Responsible for being the largest operator of the 737 MAX in Europe, Ryanair is keeping an eye on possible MAX 10 units canceled or rejected by US airlines, according to Michael O'Leary, CEO of Ryanair.
In light of the latest events involving the 737 MAX, some US airlines have made their dissatisfaction with the aircraft very clear, more specifically, United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby has declared that he will create a plan that does not include the MAX 10, a model with an order of 277 units by United.
On the other hand, O'Leary countered Kirby's comment, calling it useless and declared that Ryanair is willing to keep the MAX 10 units rejected by United or any other US company, as published by the portal Simple flying.
"If United or any other airline does not want to accept your MAX 10 orders, we will be happy to intervene”, announced Michael O'Leary.
Although Ryanair's CEO is willing to pick up more 737 MAX units, O'Leary emphasized that Boeing needs to improve its quality control and that Ryanair is willing to work collaboratively with Boeing so that the manufacturer can minimize delays. in deliveries and improve quality control.
Ryanair currently has a firm order for 150 737 MAX 10s with deliveries scheduled for 2027.
