TAAG and Avianca sign partnership in the air cargo sector

On Thursday (24), TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola and the South American company AVIANCA Airlines signed a partnership in the air cargo transportation sector. The agreement, a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA), aims to significantly expand the scope of services of both companies, enabling the opening of new markets, business development and the sharing of cargo destination networks between the partners, with preferential conditions and rates.

The agreement will allow TAAG to expand its presence in strategic markets in South America, offering customers and industrial groups from Europe and Africa access to routes beyond São Paulo (GRU) – Brazil, including destinations such as Bogotá (BOG) – Colombia, Santiago (SCL) – Chile, Lima (LIM) – Peru, Montevideo (MVD) – Uruguay and Quito (UIO) – Ecuador.

At the same time, AVIANCA now has privileged access to the African market, namely to the cities of Luanda (Angola), Johannesburg and Cape Town (South Africa), Lagos (Nigeria), Libreville (Gabon), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Brazzaville (Republic of Congo) and Nairobi (Kenya), through TAAG's cargo network.

The partnership between TAAG and AVIANCA was formalized and ratified by representatives of both companies during a symbolic ceremony held in São Paulo. The agreement covers various types of cargo, with emphasis on perishable products from South America and machinery from the European Union.
