Thales will be participating in DroneShow Robotics 2025, from June 3 to 5, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo. The company will be bringing its expertise in embedded technologies, artificial intelligence, sensors and secure communications to the event, developed for critical applications in air mobility, public safety, infrastructure, environment and defense. In addition, in partnership with Stella Tecnologia, a national leader in the development, manufacture and operation of unmanned aerial systems, it will be presenting the prototype of the Atobá RPAS, with Thales' own technology, onboard systems and weapons, whose local technical and logistical in Brazil will ensure high availability of the aircraft.
With a consolidated presence in the global drone chain, from the design of systems and sensors to integration into unmanned platforms, Thales has invested in adapting its technologies to the Latin American context. The company's presence at DroneShow reinforces its commitment to the technological advancement of the sector in Brazil, in partnership with governments, the Armed Forces, companies and research centers.
The partnership between Omnisys, a Brazilian subsidiary of the Thales Group, and Stella Tecnologia aims to cooperate in the development of advanced surveillance and defense systems on board UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) in Brazil. With the advancement of the partnership, the two companies will forces during DroneShow to present solutions that serve the Armed Forces and civilian markets in Brazil and also the international market. The prototype of the Atobá RPAS developed for surveillance and target identification missions, close air , escort of ground troops and intelligence, will be on display at the Stella Tecnologia booth (955) throughout the event.
“Being present at this new edition of Drone Show Robotics, presenting an unmanned aerial vehicle together with Stella Tecnologia, demonstrates the commitment that Thales Group and Omnisys have with the country and the region to the drone market and its important advances. Being equipped for the present and future of this market is a commitment for everyone, and Thales has a robust and modular portfolio capable of meeting these advances. Participating in this event is another opportunity to engage with a market that is rapidly maturing and seeking safe, autonomous and connected solutions,” says Luciano Macaferri, Vice President of Thales for Latin America and General Director of Thales in Brazil.
“The partnership between Stella Tecnologia and Thales, through Omnisys, represents a strategic step towards strengthening Brazil’s defense industrial base. We are combining Stella’s capacity for innovation and agility with Thales’ high-tech portfolio to develop unmanned aerial systems with national autonomy, prepared to meet the demands of both the Armed Forces and the international market. This is Brazil ceasing to be just a consumer of technology and assuming its role as a developer of cutting-edge solutions,” highlights Gilberto Buffara, CEO of Stella Tecnologia.
Thales’ portfolio of comprehensive solutions for the unmanned aerial vehicle market is being showcased at DroneShow. The list includes:
Systems and subsystems for UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles): avionics, synthetic aperture radar, communication and intelligence systems, electro-optical/infrared systems and weapons systems.
Eagleshield C-UAS for airports: Essential C-UAS system for 360° detection and classification of drones. Integrating several sensors, the solution also features Gamekeeper, a holographic radar capable of providing complete 3D coverage, tracking devices at a distance of up to 18 km. Manufactured in Brazil, Gamekeeper is certified as a Strategic Defense Product (PED) and stands out as the main component of the Eagleshield C-UAS system.
TopSky – AstraUTM: aims to seamlessly integrate UAVs and drones into the airspace by offering a single ecosystem that automates flight requests, approvals and mission oversight. With real-time monitoring of unmanned and manned traffic, flight tracking and conflict resolution, TopSky – AstraUTM enables simpler, safer and more efficient drone operations in both controlled and uncontrolled airspace.
DroneShow Robotics is considered the leading trade fair in Latin America dedicated to drones, mobile robotics and autonomous systems. The event brings together manufacturers, integrators, geotechnology companies, startups, universities, regulatory bodies and s from different sectors. This year's edition promises to broaden the debate on civil and government applications of drones in areas such as agribusiness, smart cities, energy, telecommunications, security and environmental protection.
