Flights of two military aircraft under the skies of Rio de Janeiro this week drew the attention of onlookers and, of course, spotters on duty. The aircraft involved were a FAB KC-130 Hércules and an Embraer KC-390.
In the images, it is possible to see the aircraft flying nearby in a flight position that seems to be a REVO (In-Flight Refueling), but the basket was not seen in with the probe. Due to this, it is believed that it was a test of the KC-390 receiving fuel, but nothing can be confirmed.
The KC-390 was the prefix PT-ZNJ, which some time ago did dry training on a FAB KC-130, this training took place between the end of May and June 1st. The aircraft were landed at Galeão Air Force Base.

The KC-390 can both refuel and be refueled, and this in a conflict scenario is crucial, as it saves time, which is very important in a real conflict scenario.
The Brazilian Air Force, will receive the first of 28 units of the KC-390 this year, the aircraft will be part of the 1st Troop Transport Group (1st GTT), the aircraft will be based at ALA-2 in the city of Anápolis-GO, where it will also be the home of the F-39 Gripens from 2021.
