GOL Linhas Aéreas, Brazil's largest airline, is preparing to resume two of its main international destinations next May: Orlando (MCO) and Miami (MIA), in the United States.
As of 13/05 and 17/05, respectively, the two cities in Florida, giants of tourism and business and home to thousands of Brazilians, will once again receive GOL direct flights from Brasília International Airport (BSB) , one of the Company's most prominent hubs and a strategic point to offer convenience and speed in connecting Customers from different corners of the country, departing from 37 domestic destinations.
Since November 2018, the Company has included both destinations in its international network, suspended in March 2020 due to the pandemic and now in full recovery.
By GOL, both destinations will receive four weekly round trip departures from Brasília in May.
Flights to Orlando (13/05) take off at 9:50 am from the federal capital and land in Florida at 17:10 pm, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the same days as the return trip, which takes place at 22:10 pm, landing at 7:10 am in Brazil. For Miami (17/05), departure takes place at 10 am and arrival in the American city at 17:05 pm, always on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The return, on the same days of the week, is at 21:30 pm, with a landing at 6:20 am in Brasília.
Both routes will be operated with the most modern aircraft in GOL's fleet, the Boeing 737 MAX, which, in international configuration, has capacity for 176 engers.
“Orlando and Miami are at the top of the most popular international destinations for Brazilians, and it is with great anticipation that GOL resumes flights to the United States. With GOL's strategic partnership with American Airlines, we offer Customers the best connectivity from the hub in Miami and the city of Orlando, with 28 additional destinations in the USA”, points out Randall Saenz Aguero, director of Alliances, International and Distribution at GOL.
Connection in Brazil to the United States
Practicality, time saving and security. GOL customers from different parts of the country enjoy many benefits when choosing to fly with the Company to Orlando and Miami from Brasilia. The first of them: the international connection made in Portuguese and in Brazil, without the need for stops in other countries.
Traditionally, direct flights to the US depart from airports in the Southeast region. The decentralization provided by GOL saves time for engers in the Midwest, North and Northeast regions, as the connection in Brasília is more convenient.
“Goiânia (GYN), Belém (BEL), Manaus (MAO), Recife (REC), Salvador (SSA), Belo Horizonte (CNF) and Fortaleza (FOR) are among the cities favored by departures from Brasilia to the United States , given the privileged geography of the federal capital in a central location in Brazil. In the case of the capitals in the North and Northeast, for example, counting the round trip to Miami with GOL, around 8 hours are saved in the sum of all journeys, compared to the journey of a enger leaving these locations, es through airports in the Southeast and goes to the USA”, says Bruno Balan, Strategic Planning Manager for GOL's Air Network.
Also noteworthy are the airports of Congonhas (CGH), in São Paulo, and Santos Dumont (SDU), in Rio de Janeiro, as starting points for the trip. These airports are easily accessible due to their central location in the cities in which they are located, and they have a significant range of GOL flights to Brasília, allowing quick connections to the USA.
As they are daytime flights (they depart for Orlando at 9:50 am and for Miami at 10:17 am), Customers from different GOL bases in the country can benefit from an international flight completed in a single day, starting from the point of origin. That is, with enough time for the international connection in Brasilia. The times even favor the check-in process at the hotels, as the Company lands in both American cities around XNUMX pm.
Orlando and Miami tickets can be purchased at website and on the Company's app, at GOL stores at airports, by calling the Relationship Center (0300 115 2121) and at travel agencies.
