Airbus Helicopters has delivered the first H160 to perform missions in the energy sector in Latin America to Omni Helicopters International Group (OHI) through its subsidiary Omni Taxi Aéreo. This H160, acquired by lessor GD Helicopter Finance (GDHF), is the first helicopter delivered under the global agreement for 50 H160s between Airbus Helicopters and GDHF.
This new medium helicopter adds a new model to Omni's operational fleet in Brazil, which already includes the H175, H225, H155 and H135, and will serve offshore platforms located on the Brazilian coast.
The twin-engine Airbus H160 is a medium-sized helicopter offering seating for up to 12 engers and a range of 890 km (480 NM) with standard fuel tanks. The H160 exceeds the requirements of the latest and most demanding regulations (EASA CS-29 certification standards) and the most stringent guidelines of the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP 690-5 and CAP best practices).
