The Command of Ukrainian Air Force ordered the overhaul of two Su-27UB fighters, at a cost of 181 million Hryvnas (US$6.73 million).
The overhaul will be carried out by Zaporizhzhia State Aviation Repair Plant MiGremont, a Ukrainian state company. According to the website Ukrainian Military Portal, this is the only company capable of carrying out repairs, revisions and modernizations in the Su-27 in the country.
Recently, MiGremont presented a modernized Su-27UP2M fighter. The aircraft received a new navigation and information system, a helmet with an integrated sight and automatic firing of flares.

The new digital processor in the weapons control system will significantly expand the aircraft's combat capabilities both in the air and for engaging ground targets, in the combat use of the full range of ammunition.
According to the portal, the aircraft is being tested by the State Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Weapons and Military Equipment. The tests were carried out in two stages: ground and flight. 33 flights were performed with a total of 40 flight hours.
Ukraine currently has six Su-27UB and 26 Su-27P, all modernized to UB1M and P1M standard.
